Preparing for Marriage

An Invitation

As you make plans for your wedding you are invited to join us at one of two “Preparing for Marriage” sessions.  Each session explores the practicalities of  married life in an informal yet structured and fun way.  They last about  three and a half  hours on a Sunday afternoon, following on from the 10.45am church service. They are designed to get you talking to each other about things you may or may not have thought about before.  Lunch is provided.

What happens
Two couples from the church lead discussions using video and handouts to help couples think beyond the wedding day.  Topics covered include;  Getting on Together, Dealing with Conflict, Money & Values and Children.

You won’t be expected to share your thoughts with anyone but your partner, unless you want to.

When?
The first Sunday in February and November each year.

What other couples have said
“Fun” “We laughed a lot”  “Excellent, good mixture of humour, non-patronizing, very friendly”
“Practical, down to earth, helpful and worthwhile”
“Very worthwhile and enjoyable”
"Go to it, a good basis to start talking about things you were finding difficult before “
